  2. I vaguely remember some quote about writing out enough bad-quality creations before you are able to write something good. Quite a reason to replace perfectionism of “not writing bad stuff” with idea of filtering (somehow similar to what I’ve already mentioned) — write whatever you can write and publish what you (and, better yet, not only you) see as worthy (successful).

    Another point is to leave some freedoms (and hints on them) to improve what you’ve created; although that would likely be rather problematic in case of writing final prose text (i.e. not some high-level outline of what you want to create).

    • Yeah, those are good hints! Nothing really new to me, but really good hints, and it’s good that I get reminded about them again and again. I still often have problems with just writing anything down to get going. It’s a silly habit. Perhaps it would be an interesting rule to start writing something (anything) within 15 seconds, instead of looking at a blank screen for a long amount of time.

      Yes, I feel that this is a good rule :)
